Film, video and documentary production in Manchester
Blue Shoes Productions creates innovative video content for companies that are implementing social and cultural change. Whether it be through documentary, narrative shorts, social media content, visual social value reports, events coverage, music performances, or museum installations, we are skilled in bringing ideas to life on film.
We also provide bespoke consultancy in social responsibility for digital content creation, and offer workshops that teach filmmaking skills and storyboarding techniques. A more responsible and empathetic world is possible, and we want to play our part in helping to achieve that by encouraging social responsibility through creativity.
Our Story
Blue Shoes Productions was founded in 2018 by Alexander Deniston, Jake Gill, and Liam Steers. We are a Manchester-based company, but have worked with clients up and down the country. In 2020, we were presented with The University of Manchester's Venture Further Award for Best Creative Start-Up.
In recent years, we have had the privilege of working on a variety of moving stories, ranging from the persecution of political activists in the DRC, to the migration and cultural integration of an Indian chef into Mancunian society.
We are currently developing a range of documentary and drama shorts, and are also working with partners to bring hidden narratives to life on film.
